In every hive, the banríon, the queen, plays a quiet but vital role. She brings balance, structure and calm. Inspired by her steady presence, Banríona Beeswax Candles are crafted to bring that same sense of warmth and harmony into your home.

We are based in scenic Gleann Cholm Cille, in the Gaeltacht region of south west Donegal. Surrounded by sea, hills and wildflowers, we pour each candle by hand, keeping things as close to nature as possible. Our candles begin with wax collected from beekeepers throughout Ireland, supporting the people who care for our native bees and the landscapes they pollinate.

Back in our workshop in Co. Donegal, we gently clean, purify and reuse this precious wax. From the first melt to the final wick, every Banríona candle is carefully made with attention to detail and respect for the hive. Beeswax is one of nature’s most beautiful materials. It is renewable, clean burning, long lasting and naturally scented with the soft sweetness of honey.
